INTRODUCTION

The need for quality education has been felt for a long time and a gap exists in the field of purposeful and relevant professional education that takes into account the ground realities faced by professionals in the field of Management, Computer Science, Life Science and Pharmacy. Apex Institute of Management & Science was established in the year 1998 by Sanjay Shiksha Samiti (An education Society Regd. Under S.R. Act.1958) with an objective to bridge/reduce this growing gap between demand and supply of trained professionals with firm belief in core human values of compassion, honesty and righteousness. The Institute is approved by. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi and is affiliated to the University of Rajasthan

The campus of the AIMS Institute is spread over an area of 1.5 Acres of land with 95,000 sq. ft. built up area to accommodate academic and co-curricular activities on V.T. Road at Mansarovar, Jaipur. The institute’s aims and objectives are to develop an innovative approach to the presentation of instruction materials and to encourage faculty and students to introduce ingenuity in the organization of interactive sessions. It also lays emphasis on co-curricular and extra -curricular activities to promote development of all round personality of learners.

AIET is an another milestone in the educational endeavor of Sanjay Shiksha Samiti, Jaipur (An ISO 9001:2000 Instituion) which was founded in 1962. AIET is spread over of land in the heart of first Institutional Area (development by RIICO) of Rajasthan. The campus of AIET is a marvelous example well - designed buildings and fascinating landscape. The college has 21800 sq. mts. of "A" class construction to accomodate academic, co - curricular activities.

The Institute has a vast pool of resource persons comprising of regular faculties, visiting professors and eminent personalities to strengthen the course content, improve the quality of students through increased exposure and interaction; and broaden their mental horizons. The Institute has a well designed mechanism for faculty development and enhancement of research and consultancy efforts through information networking.

The campus environment promotes an attitude of high level integrity and personal ethics which are the essence of leadership and helps the bright young minds in becoming attuned to the rapidly changing stimuli in the external environment and perceiving the immense opportunities.
In this context it may be mentioned that the global environment is rapidly changing, shaped by a variety of factors like competitive pressure, dismantling of tariff's and barriers, environmental and regulatory concern new technologies and businesses, the information technology and communication revolution.
These changes bring tremendous challenges as well as opportunities.
